Sophia Lamar first displayed her name in the art scene and club of San Francisco, which produced such shows as "A Trip to Her Ego". In the mentioned show, a fountain spouted her own collected urine. She quickly outgrew San Francisco and later headed for New York City. There she was introduced to Michael Alig and invited to play the central part in the "Disco 2000".
Sophia Lamar had a friend named Amanda Lepore (also a transsexual). They became rather famous for successful suing the nightclub "Twilo" for the gender discrimination after they were replaced by "real" females. They took the case to the New York State Supreme Court and was settled for the sum exceeding 250 thousand US dollars. A bit later Sophia Lamar hosted the revolutionary party "Mutants" at "Club Luxx" (at the forefront of the electro-cash in Brooklyn).
As other major Cuban models, Sophia Lamar also modeled and appeared in various advertising campaigns including "Trash & Vaudville", "Levi's" and even famous "NYU School of Medicine Center for AIDS Research". Sissi, who was born on the 13th of October, 1975, also belongs to the bright personalities of North America, one of the modern Cuban models. She graduated from the Antonio Guiteras High School and then traveled to Mexico. There she is known to have worked as a model. However, she didn't manage to earn enough money for the reason she had not legal Mexican citizenship. How did she earn her living? Sissi sold lingerie and later moved to Germany, where she became a real model and had her first economic success.
It's worthy admitting that every Saturday night Sissi starred in the Univision's popular show called "Sabado Gigante" (alongside Don Francisco). Thanks to this show she attracted attention of Latino audiences. However, on the 28th of May she retired from the mentioned show to go on building her career in music. At the same time, she began to produce various bikini calendars.
